TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Native Toledoan Oshae Jones is guaranteed to come home with an Olympic medal at the Tokyo games following her Friday morning win in the ring. The question now is how far up the podium she will go.

Jones defeated Maria Motonta Hernandez of the Dominican Republic to move on to the semi-final bout on Wednesday, August 4. With that win, she clinches at least a bronze medal in the Women’s Welterweight Division, becoming just the third American woman to medal in the sport of boxing. A win on Wednesday would guarantee at least a silver and she is now two wins away from gold.
