TPD: Woman stabs son, turns knife on herself in Sunday morning incident
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Two people were taken to the hospital after a stabbing Sunday morning.
Toledo Police said officers were called to a medical emergency in the 1500 block of Freeman Street just after 9:40 a.m. Sunday and found two people hurt from a stabbing.
According to a Toledo Police report, Mary Gregory, 37, had stabbed her 8-year-old child at least once in the back of the neck before stabbing herself. The boy told witnesses at the scene that his mother had stabbed him.
Gregory and her child were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and are in stable condition, according to detectives at the scene.
Gregory is being charged with felonious assault.
