OTTAWA HILLS, Ohio (WTVG) - Officials in Ottawa Hills held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday morning for new facilities and kicking off the Full STEAM Ahead Capital Campaign.

The Ottawa Hills Schools Foundation and the Ottawa Hills Local Schools are partnering to raise $2.2 million to provide funding for critical enhancements for the complete transformation of The Foundry, The Science and Research Corridor, and The ARTlab. STEAM initiatives will be interconnected to empower the next generation of leaders.

The project’s construction manager is the Rudolph Libbe Group and the architect is The Collaborative Inc.

Speakers included George Lathrop, President of the Ottawa Hills Schools Foundation; Anjali Gupta, Campaign Chair; Rose Hajjar, an Ottawa Hills freshman; Dr. Adam Fineske, Superintendent of Ottawa Hills Local Schools; and James White, Jr. and John Swigart, Campaign Honorary Chairs.
