TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The man accused of killing two young brothers and severely injuring another will now undergo a second competency hearing after the first found him competent to stand trial. Following a second evaluation by a doctor, Kevin Moore will appear in court again in August.
Moore is charged with two counts of aggravated murder of a victim under 13 years of age and one count of felonious assault following the shooting deaths of Ahmir and Gabriel Phillips, aged five and one, respectively, back in February.
Their brother Ashton, 4, was also shot. Moore is reportedly the boyfriend of the boys’ mother.
